Donate to the Desert Protective Council
There are a number of ways for you to support our work financially, ensuring that we’ll be here protecting our deserts for years to come. Since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are fully tax-deductible.
Our most urgent need is to bolster our general fund, which relies on memberships and unrestricted donations. While we have considerable capital to fund projects in Imperial County, none of this can be used for our day-to-day operations or for projects that do not affect Imperial County. Printing and mailing our newsletter, Educational Bulletins and brochures; keeping this website running; taking on projects outside of Imperial County – none of these can happen without your ongoing support.

Donations By Mail
If you'd prefer the time-honored "check in the mail" approach, you can download and print out our PDF membership and donation form then fill it out and mail with a check in the appropriate amount made out to DPC. Send to DPC, PO Box 3635, San Diego, California 92163-1635. (The mailing address is also on the printed form if you don't have a pen handy right this second.)
Our endowment at the San Diego Foundation offers a good way for donors to ensure the long-term stability of our organization. Visit our Endowment page to learn more.
If you’d like to support our work specifically in Imperial County, please visit our Mesquite Fund page.
In 2001, San Diego conservation activist Norma Sullivan left a generous bequest to the Desert Protective Council. As a result of her generosity, we were able to hire our first Conservation Coordinator, increasing our reach and effectiveness in desert conservation. Her gift also funded the Norma G. Sullivan Memorial Endowed Scholarship at San Diego State University, which supports students in environmental studies related to the desert. Norma’s gift has left a lasting legacy for desert conservation. You can create your own desert conservation legacy when you remember the Desert Protective Council in your estate planning.
